Meet the Founder

Kristian Ipsen, Hatch Founder & CEO

Kristian Ipsen is a 2x Olympian and Stanford graduate who transitioned from elite athletics to entrepreneurship. After beginning his career in tech, he joined his family in the restaurant industry and opened a fine dining concept in 2020…just as COVID reshaped hospitality.

When the restaurant reopened after a three-month closure, Kristian discovered that spirits and wine were the primary drivers of profitability. Working closely with craft brands, he saw firsthand how difficult and expensive it was for emerging companies to scale especially with the costs of sales teams, marketing, and distribution.

He founded Hatch to give growing brands a more cost-effective path to market, offering startup-style sales and marketing support designed to help them scale smarter and faster.
